United in promoting their trade alliance and relationship, Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper, U.S. President Barack Obama, and Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto all praised the impact of the 20-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and suggested more benefits were to come.
Their comments came at the North American Leaders’ Summit Wednesday (February 19) in Toluca, Mexico. And a final communique from the three underlined that “Our engagement as a region with the rest of the world has a direct impact on the competitiveness of our economies and the prosperity of our societies.”
RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda has a report.
