Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary most liveable cities

The most liveable cities in the world, according to ‘The Economist’ magazine, include three Canadian cities in the top 10.

Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary ranked third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Calgary, however, was tied with Adelaide, Australia.

Austalia is home to the most liveable city in the world with Melbourne at number one, followed by Vienna, Austria.

‘The Economist’ judges the most liveable cities according to five elements; culture and environment, education, infrastructure, health care and stability.

Vancouver has become increasingly safe with a record-low number of murders in 2013.  This follows a decade of decreasing murder-rates.
