University wants record testing for sex infections

A Canadian university wants to break a record for the number of tests administered for sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) in one day. The University of Windsor, in the province of Ontario, is inviting students to go for a simple urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhea on campus today. These are two infections increasing in Windsor and across Canada.

‘I peed today’ proclaim T-shirts

The university is handing out free T-shirts that proclaim “I peed today” in a bid to reduce the stigma of getting tested. It also seeks to raise awareness about STIs, how to prevent them, and the importance of being tested.

The university is hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the most sexual health screenings done in 24 hours at a single venue.
