Adele, the British soul-singing sensation, is releasing a much-anticipated album with a major Canadian connection. Quebec film maker, Xavier Dolan, directed the music video for her first single, ‘Hello’.
Adele’s new album ’25’ will be released Nov. 20, but the video, that was shot in Montreal, will debut tomorrow.
Xavier Dolan was 25 when his latest film, ‘Mommy‘, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. Vanity Fair Magazine declared it their ‘favorite film at Cannes’ describing it as “ a heart-swelling, heartbreaking, breathtaking piece of cinema”.
It will be interesting to see what he does with Adele’s music, and to see how Montreal may be featured in the work.
