Greater security measures have been put in place on flights to Canada from certain countries, said Transport Minister Marc Garneau after a cabinet meeting today.

The minister would not say which countries or what measures. He did say the action was taken based on an “evaluation of risk” and that it would ensure greater security for air passengers.
He added he could not provide further details for “obvious security reasons.”
